Green VPN — Privacy Policy

Green VPN ("the App", "we", "us") is a virtual private network app that encrypts your device's internet traffic and routes it through one of our servers. This policy explains what we do and do not collect. We built this app with privacy as the goal, and we keep the data we handle to the minimum needed to run the service.

No activity logs

We do not log, monitor, store, or sell your browsing history, the websites you visit, DNS queries, the content of your traffic, or the apps you use while connected. Your online activity through the tunnel is not recorded.

What the App handles

• A random device identifier generated on your device the first time you open the App. It is a random string (not your name, email, phone number, IMEI, or Android ID) and is used only to create and reuse your VPN key configuration on the server. You can reset it by clearing the App's data or reinstalling.
• Your IP address is necessarily used, in real time, to establish the encrypted connection between your device and our server. We do not keep a persistent history of your source IP tied to your activity.
• The VPN location you choose so we can connect you to the right server.

VpnService permission

The App uses Android's VpnService to create the local VPN interface. This is required for any VPN app to function and is used solely to route your traffic through the encrypted tunnel. The App does not inspect or modify the traffic it carries.

Advertising

The App may display ads provided by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may collect and use data (for example, an advertising identifier and general device information) to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. In regions where it is required (such as the EEA/UK), the App shows a consent form before any personalized ads are served. A paid ad-free option is available inside the App.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties except (a) Google AdMob as described above when ads are enabled, and (b) where required by law.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Security

Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted using the WireGuard® protocol. Communication with our control API is protected by HTTPS/TLS.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
